What to Expect
Library Tours for Children
The Library staff looks forward to a visit from your group or class. Your tour of the Simi Valley Public Library will last approximately 30 minutes. We can cater the tour to the ages and interests of your group and include a storytime for children. If a storytime is included, your tour will last 45 minutes.
You are welcome to stay afterwards to browse and/or check out library materials.
Tours are given Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
Please book your tour at least 30 days in advance in the fields located below.
We require 1 adult present for every 10 children.
Preschool and Elementary school visits:
A Librarian is happy to visit your class to:
- Discuss what the Simi Valley Public Library offers for children and their families.
- To offer literacy tips for students. A storytime can be included.
- Offer a STEM activity for your classroom.

Library Tours for Teens and Adults
Tours are also given to groups of teens and adults and are scheduled to fit the needs of each group. Fill out the form below and the appropriate librarian will contact you.
